The Brief
Bugatti’s first Owner’s Drive was an exclusive one day event that started at the Habtoor Polo Resort and finished up on the helipad of the Fairmont Fujairah, in the middle of the Gulf of Oman.
The event targeted 25 of Bugatti’s key customers who were invited, along with their partners, to attend the drive and luncheon, one of only two customer events hosted by the luxury brand each year.
Noble Events was asked to create a bespoke experience; we were responsible for managing the design, production and theming of a temporary structure on the helipad as the backdrop for the lunch.
The logistical planning of this element was crucial to the event’s success as there was only a limited window for completion of the build
Noble Events was also responsible for the provision of the driving route, filming and photography (to include both car to car and drone), along with entertainment throughout lunch.
Location & Venue
The event took place at the Fairmont Fujairah, a venue selected by the client for its breath-taking views across the Gulf of Oman.
The Fujairah’s idyllic setting proved the perfect backdrop and, furthermore, the helipad located at the end of a long pier made guests feel as though they were right in the middle of the Arabian Gulf.
The Schedule
Guests were invited to meet mid-morning at Al Habtoor Polo Club for a briefing ahead of the drive to the Fairmont Fujairah. The drive itself was broken down into two sections with a comfort break at the mid-point to include a drone photo opportunity. It concluded with arrival at the Fujairah in time for a superb 3-course lunch with mocktails.
Verdict
The client was blown away with the quality, service and understated elegance of the venue, and was grateful to have taken our recommendation to use the smaller of the two helipads as the larger helipad was not structurally sound.
Our team was praised for their high level of attention to detail, with everything from the pantone colour of the carpet to the exact design of each place setting being managed meticulously.
Senior Event Manager, Lynette Bond, said, “with an event of this kind, the key to success is communication, with clearly defined milestones and deliverables. Clients are right to have high expectations – it is important to deliver exactly what you promised!”
